The booking systemÌýfor University accommodationÌýhere at BangorÌýwill open at the end of January. Once ¿ì»îÓ°Ôº is your Firm Choice through UCAS, we will contact you by email to invite you to apply for accommodation.Ìý
Once you receive the email, you can apply on-line. You should apply for accommodation as soon as possible. You can look at all of the different halls of residence we have here at Bangor on the accommodation website and can even take virtual tours of some of the halls.
If you have a conditional offer and have met the conditions of that offer – log on to the UCAS Hub to see if your place is confirmed. If it is, congratulations – you're off to university!Ìý
Don't worry! The first thing to do is check your status on UCAS Hub to see whether you have been accepted and you can get in touch with theÌýuniversity's Admissions Helpline if you have any questions. If you've been rejectedÌýby your Firm and InsuranceÌýchoiceÌýyou’ll automatically be released into Clearing. There will be spaces available at manyÌýuniversities through Clearing and you can contact them to see if they can offer you a place. To apply for a place through Clearing you need to get in touch with theÌýClearingÌýHelplineÌýor Live Chat, and you may be made an offer over the phone.Ìý
Most university courses begin at the end of September, with the first week of term beingÌýcalledÌý'Welcome Week'. At Bangor, there are no formal lectures during Welcome Week but you’ll need to move into your halls of residence before the week begins and there are lots of events taking place throughout the week. Welcome Week (whichÌýis sometimes calledÌýFreshers Week, Induction Week or Orientation) is the first week you’ll spend at University, where you’ll take part in various activities and sessions to welcome you to the University. During Welcome Week you choose your modules, pay fees and get involved in activities such as Serendipity where youÌýhave the opportunity toÌýjoin clubs and societies. Individual academic Schools within the UniversityÌýalsoÌýorganiseÌýactivities for you to keep you busy forÌýtheÌýfirstÌýweek.
