[0:05]听Hi, my name is Victoria. I'm in my fourth year. I'm from near Liverpool and I'm studying law with Italian.
[0:13]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听A student sat on a wall typing on a laptop with a coffee and the sea behind them.听

[0:21]听I knew I definitely wanted to study law with Italian,
[0:24]听so the first thing I did was look at other universities who study who allowed law in Italian

[0:31]听and Bangor was one of these places.

[0:47]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Victoria is sat on a plush yellow sofa with decorative pillows and art work behind her.听
[0:47] I did speak to someone on the phone on the helpline.
[0:50]听I phoned up the number on the website and it was very quick to get through to them and they were very helpful.

[1:10]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Victoria is sat on a plush yellow sofa with decorative pillows and art work behind her.听
[1:10]听It's so nice to be in nature as opposed to in a big city, which can be very intimidating
[1:17]听For your first time away from home.
[1:19] You have a very supportive community around you. The teachers are super supportive.听
[1:19]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Three students sat on a brown leather sofa in a local听caf茅 looking and laughing at a smartphone.听
[1:23]听You make amazing friends through the societies.听

[1:34]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Victoria is sat on a plush yellow sofa with decorative pillows and art work behind her.听
[1:34]听I have joined quite a few societies in my time at Bangor, including dance, athletics, trampolining,

[1:47]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Victoria is sat on a plush yellow sofa with decorative pillows and art work behind her.听
[1:47]听Bangor was definitely the right choice for me.
[1:50]听Everything happens for a reason and obviously I didn't get into my first choice of university
[1:56]听but I don't regret my choice at all.听I feel so happy here and I've had the best time.

[2:08] It's something completely out of your hands.听You don't know what's going to happen on the day,
[2:10]听but I can assure you that should you go through clearing and you call up Bangor,
[2:19]听You'll feel so much at ease and so happy.

[0:05]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Aerial shot of the Main Arts Building and surrounding buildings.听
[0:06]听My name is Max Robinson. I'm a second year accounting and finance student, and I come from West Yorkshire.
[0:09]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听A student and professor in a computer room looking at a computer screen.听
[0:12]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Max sat on a bright green sofa with art work and a shelf in the background.听
[0:12]听I definitely have heard about clearing, uh, before receiving my results.
[0:17]听I heard people talking about it almost like it was a looming threat, but I really don't think it was that bad.
[0:23]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听A person in a听caf茅 on their laptop looking at the 快活影院 Clearing webpage.听
[0:23] When I realised I didn't get the results I wanted, I immediately thought about clearing.听I knew what it was, but I didn't know much else.
[0:29]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Max sat on a bright green sofa with art work and a shelf in the background.听
[0:31]听So it was very much an intense hour of googling and researching and trying to figure out what, what I could possibly be doing next.
[0:40]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Two students walking down the stairs in Pontio and chatting.听
[0:40]听When I was phoning 快活影院, the person on the other end of the phone was extremely helpful
[0:44]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听A shot of the Main Arts Building.
[0:44] by telling me exactly what I needed to do,
[0:48]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听A member of staff sat on the computer speaking on the Clearing Helpline.听
[0:48]听because I had no idea where I was going for clearing, and I didn't exactly know the process.
[0:52]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听A member of staff sat on the computer speaking on the Clearing Helpline.听
[0:52]听And they managed to explain it all to me extremely quickly and help me with my course choosing as well.
[0:56]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听A group of students in a room having a meeting, sat on tables with their laptops.听
[0:56]听快活影院 stood out to me because it was
[1:01]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听A group of students sat on the desk on the Pontio balcony with their laptops.听
[1:01]听very public about how inclusive it was with its students in all aspects of its education
[1:06]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Two students walking through the iron gates outside Main Arts, chatting.听
[1:08]听and compared to other places I'd been looking at, they seemed very cut off and very separated from the student population,
[1:11]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听A student standing in the Student Union reception area, speaking to a member of the Student Union Staff.听
[1:14]听and it was quite refreshing to see somebody that was willing to hear the voice
[1:17]听[VISUAL DESCRIPTION]听Max sat on a bright green sofa with art work and a shelf in the background.听
[1:18]听And I was very eager to talk.听

Watch Video - Clearing Success: Natalie Ehenulo
I phoned a lecturer during Clearing week and she described the course to me in more detail and encouraged me to try it. I'm very glad I did. I had wanted to attend Bangor but wasn't sure if I was up to it with being a carer and having teenage children. 快活影院ing as a mature student has been challenging but extremely rewarding, I have gained a lot of confidence from the last three years.
Not only was I offered a place to study the course I wanted to but the staff kept in contact throughout the process to keep me updated and also ensure I was okay. I was also offered a campus tour, after accepting my place, which also helped as it meant I was not going into my studies without even knowing the University.
