Driving Athletic Performance

Our research impact

In collaboration with UK Sport, and other partners across the UK, researchers at Bangor are undertaking world leading research exploring the identification of high-level sports performers.

Using innovative talent development systems, our researchers are asking the question: 鈥榃hat does it take for an athlete to truly thrive鈥?

Findings from the 鈥楶athway to Podium鈥 project are of international significance and have already been implemented by Swim England, GB Hockey, and British Canoeing.

听鈥淭he results of such research filter into our degree content immediately, at times before it is widely available across the sector. Our students stand out from other Sport & Exercise Science graduates by taking this learning to potential employers.鈥澨
